A company that lays claim to being Doncaster’s largest landlord has hit number one spot in the ranking of the town’s most profitable small and medium sized enterprises.

Lazarus Properties, was founded in 1997 by businessmen Mick Murray and Lloyd Nicholson to focus on retail and leisure property in Doncaster town centre. It currently owns and operates 275,000 sq ft in the town, with 100,000 sq ft throughout the country, including London’s Belgravia, Kensington and Chelsea and Notting Hill.

The Doncaster firm tops a list of the town’s best, named within the top 100 companies in the Sheffield City Region, as compiled by financial services and accountancy company, Barber Harrison and Platt. Its pre-tax profits were £7.32 million. The list also covers firms based in Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
