The following crimes were reported to police on June 24. Anyone with information call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Thorne: Burglars tried to force the rear door of a house in Southfield Road on Monday night but were unsuccessful.

Lakeside: Thieves broke into a Vauxhall Astra parked at the Premier Inn, Herten Way, around 1.45am today and stole a quantity of power tools.

Hatfield: A metal chiminea was stolen from behind a house in Leyland Avenue and garden ornaments and solar lights from the back of a house in Homestead Garth.

Thorne: A garden bench, ornaments and a metal postbox were stolen from the garden of a house in South End on Monday night, and another house on the same street had benches and planters stolen.

Thorne: A lawnmower has been taken from an insecure garage in Union Road.

Town Moor: Police are investigating criminal damage to four cars parked on the road in Alderson Drive on Friday night, all of which sustained scratches.
