Doncaster crime round up, May 15: Thieves raid grave; Bike theft at school site

The following crimes were reported to police on May 14 and May 15. Anyone with information call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Thorne: Solar lights were stolen from a grave in Thorne Cemetery on Southfield Road. They were taken between 12noon on Sunday and 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Rossington: Thieves took a bike from St Michael’s Primary School, Sheep Bridge Lane, on Monday night, after it had been left overnight because of the heavy rain. It was taken between 3.30pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday.

Cantley: Household items were stolen from outside a house on Villa Park Road while the occupant was moving out of the property. They had left boxes containing items including a vacuum cleaner, and cutlery outside the property for 10 minutes, between 3pm and 3.10pm on Wednesday. They returned to find them gone.

Balby: A laptop computer and a mobile phone were stolen from a house on Burton Avenue. The burglars entered through an unlocked window between 11pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday.

Intake: Burglars stole a child’s mini motorcycle in a raid on a house on Malton Road between 5pm on Tuesday and 8.30am on Wednesday. They got into the property through an unsecured conservatory door.

Balby Bridge: A mobile phone and cash were stolen by thieves who entered a house on St James Street on Wednesday morning. They got inside through and open window between 3am and 6am.

Tickhill: A garden mower and a mountain bike were stolen from a domestic garage on Lindrick Lane. Burglars got into the garage between 6pm on Tuesday and 3pm on Wednesday. There was no damage to the garage.

Tickhill: Hinges were removed from shed doors in three separate incidents on Tuesday night, but nothing was taken in any of the cases. Two of the incidents were reported at The Oval, and one was reported at Airedale Avenue.

Intake: A bike was stolen from a doctors surgery at Sandringham Road. The black bike, with yellow insignia, had been locked on a bike stand, and was valued at £800. It was taken between 7pm and 7.20pm on Wednesday.

Thorne: Two mountain bikes were stolen from the garden of a house on Haynes Road between 11pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday. Neither were locked up.

Cantley: A wallet containing cash was stolen from a Vauxhall Vectra on Bardolf Road on Tuesday night. The thief got into the car between 8.30pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday.

Balby: Raiders smashed a window to break into a car on Roberts Road, on Wednesday afternoon. They took power tools from the rear of the vehicle of the Fiat Dolbo between 2.30pm and 3.20pm.
