Fishlake: A man who crashed his BMW car on Westfield Road yesterday afternoon went to fetch help but when he returned the car windscreen had been smashed and the vehicle set on fire, causing a complete write-off.

Bentley: Burglars forced the door of a house under renovation in Queens Drive on Sunday night and stole a quantity of power tools.

Mexborough: Intruders entered a house in Browning Road through an insecure window over the weekend and removed the central heating boiler.

Bentley: The lock of a garage in Epton Court was forced on Sunday night by thieves who got away with £3,000 worth of fishing tackle.

Intake: The passenger window of a Vauxhall Corsa parked in Warwick Road was smashed by a thief who removed the CD player.

Askern: A woman who popped into the Co-op Pioneer store in Selby Road yesterday evening returned 10 minutes later to find a window in her car had been smashed and her handbag stolen.

Belle Vue: The owner of a Ford Transit parked in St Cecilia’s Road heard a noise at 4am today and discovered the spare wheel had been taken.

Hyde Park: An iPad was stolen from a car parked in Chequer Road on Sunday night.

Balby: Thieves have stolen a metal newspaper storage container form outside a newsagent shop in Littlemoor Lane on Sunday night.
