Prizes are up for grabs, for the best photographs of homes with lights this Christmas in North Lincolnshire.

North Lincolnshire Homes is offering snappers the chance to win a shopping voucher, and for £250 to be donated to a local charity of your choice if you can demonstrate where the best lights are.

All you have to do is grab your phone or camera and get snapping your favourite Christmas lights. Official Christmas light switch-ons are one great opportunity.

Once you have taken your photograph you can log on to facebook.com/nlhomes and upload it, or you can share it on twitter or instagram with the hashtag #ongolights.

You can also type bit.ly/ongolights into your browser and it will send you to the best website to suit the device you are using be it a mobile, a tablet or a desktop computer.

People will then be able to vote for their favourite picture.

Rob Jefferson, online editor, said: “Each year people make lots of effort to make their homes and their communities look truly festive with lights and decorations and this year we wanted to recognise this.

“Social media is a great way for people to share photos and spread a little festive cheer, so we’re offering you a chance to win a present for a local cause close to your heart and a little something for you. All you have to do is take a photo.

“We’re not looking for expert photography, just a photo which best captures the magic of Christmas.”
