A WOMAN being questioned over the alleged murder of a Denaby stab victim has been released on police bail.

The 33-year-old local woman was arrested with a 36-year-old man after the body of 40-year-old James King was found in the block of flats where he lived at Tadcaster Close, Denaby, at 6.30am on Saturday November 17. He died from a stab wound.

Detectives were granted further time to question the 36-year-old man who remains in police custody.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard anything in the area at that time. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 243 of 17 November, 2012, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555111
