Debt advice is on hand for residents

People in the Don and Dearne who are concerned about mounting debts and financial problems can take advantage of free information and advice.

The Doncaster West Development Trust is running information classes at venues throughout the are, including The Terrace in Conisbrough.

Money guide Carlol Ogley, who is based at The Terrace said: “If anyone wants to know anything about the benefits system or advice about reducing debt and prioritising etc, they can contact us on 01709 866486.

“The aim is to establish money support groups in and around Doncaster borough bringing money saving tips to the sessions and much more. We deliver a free confidential one to one money or debt advice service. We can then work with them and bring them into one of our groups or give them one to one advice face to face and ongoing support.”

Money Matters is funded through the Big Lottery Reaching Communities programme until June 2014. The project team offers advice on general money issues, benefits, debts, council tax arrears, rent arrears, paying utility bills, money saving ideas and savings.
