Dearne runners are being invited to banish those January blues by signing up for a beautiful trek through Yorkshire’s finest countryside for charity this summer.
The British Red Cross Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge takes place on July 19 in the Yorkshire Dales.
Registration is now open for the sponsored walk, which covers 24.5 miles and three 700m high peaks, with some breathtaking scenery.
Community Fundraiser for the Red Cross in Yorkshire, Max Newton, said: “This is a fantastic challenge. It is incredibly rewarding and very emotional when you finish. Amazing views with amazing people, for an amazing cause.” The Red Cross helps people who have had their lives turned upside down by a crisis or disaster in the UK and overseas. These range from prolonged hospitalisation to floods, house fires, earthquakes, famine, war or typhoons, like we saw in the Philippines late last year.
Entry to the event is £10. There is no minimum sponsorship. For more information contact Max Newton on 0114 242 7379 or firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.redcross.org.uk/Y3P
