A group of amateur cyclists embarked on their fourth charity bike ride to raise money for Barnsley Hospice and Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in Sheffield.

Team Tarn, made up of riders from Barnsley and the Dearne, have already notched up more than 900 miles and raised over £6000 for various charities in three challenges in as many years.

This year’s ride saw them add another 400 miles to their total as they cycle from Land’s End back to Barnsley between June 13 and 16.

The group hopes to raise at least £5000 for the two charities.
