Robbery as woman was leaving car

POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed behind a Denaby post office.

The 56 year old local woman was about to leave her car in the car park to the rear of Denaby Main Post Office last Tuesday afternoon, when the door was pulled open by a man.

There was a short struggle and the woman noticed another male who opened the front passenger door and took some cash.

Both men then ran off in the direction of the Empire Gymnasium following the raid near Grays Court at 3.45pm.

This first man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s and 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a cream coloured hooded top.

The second man who took the cash is described as wearing a dark coloured hooded top and sunglasses.

The woman was shaken but not physically injured during the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen the men flee the scene are asked to contact DC Mick Blunt on 01302 385199 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
