Dead men identified

INQUESTS were opened on Tuesday in to the unrelated deaths of two men, whose bodies were found last weekend in the Dearne.

The men were 40-year old Shaun Taylor, who was found early on Friday morning on Bartholomew Street, Wombwell, where he lived, and John Boardman, 53, of Deightonby Street, Thurnscoe, whose body was discovered on Sunday.

It is understood Mr Boardman was found by a member of his family.

Police are not treating the deaths as suspicious. Both inquests will resume at a future date.

It is the second death on Bartholomew Street within two months. Forty-one year old Shane Beadling, of Potterdyke Avenue, Rawmarsh, was found dead on July 20. A 32-year old man has been charged with his murder.
