Darfield man charged with murder

Police are appealing for the driver of a red car to come forward after a man fell off his scooter in Eastfield last Thursday.

A man has been charged with the murder of his wife, and will appear at Barnsley Magistrates Court this morning.

Stephen Barnsdale-Quean, 42, of Upperwood Road, Darfield, was charged with the murder of 35-year old Chantelle Barnsdale-Quean on his discharge from hospital.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, following the discovery of Chantelle’s body at a property on Upperwood Road. He was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds.
