conisbrough: A food thief found out there’s no such thing as a free lunch after being jailed. Ben James Hodder, 33, of Elm Green Lane, admitted taking items from Sainsbury’s on October 8. He was handed a 16 week sentence.
balby: A fragrance thief received a £155 court bill. Reece Gibson, 24, of Balby Road, Balby, admitted taking the Yves Saint Laurent men’s aftershave gift set costing £46 on December 2. Gibson was fined £50 and ordered to pay court costs.
conisbrough: A Doncaster drinker picked up a two town centre ban. Liam Mayhew, 22, of The Oval, admitted being drunk and disorderly on December 1 and was made the subject of a 12-week drink banning order and must not enter any pubs in Doncaster or Conisbrough town centres.
hexthorpe: Assaulting a woman landed at Doncaster man with a suspended prison sentence when he appearwed before magistrates. Ricky Lee Hickling, 23, of Abbot Street, was given a 16-week sentence suspended for 12 months after admitting beating a woman on October 13.
