THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court and charged with the following offences.
BALBY: Stuart Scholey made a rash decision and paid the consequences when he stole bacon. The 32-year-old of Broomhouse Lane, pleaded guilty to stealing the meat and a shopping basket from the One Stop shop in Balby on May 15. He was put under a 12-week curfew to remain at his address from 7pm until 7am, and had to pay £93.14 in compensation. He also admitted to stealing meat on July 31 from the Co-Op in Warmsworth Road, Balby, and had to pay £66.62 in compensation.
HYDE PARK: Magistrates have handed out a six month supervision requirement to a 20-year-old vandal. Paul Hudson, of St James’ Street was handed a community order after he admitted destroying a door and ash tray on August 21. He was ordered to pay £35 in compensation.
FINNINGLEY: A motorist will not be getting behind the steering wheel anytime soon after being caught unfit to drive through drink. Christopher Michael Blackham, 28, of Blenheim Drive, admitted the September 9 offence and was disqualified for six months. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 in costs.
WHEATLEY PARK: A thief tried to get away with £142 worth of goods from a homeware store. Julie Ann Mahoney, 29, of Gloucester Road, admitted to stealing a quantity of goods from The Range on August 21. She had to pay costs of £85 and was discharged conditionally for 18 months when she appeared before magistrates.
