THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charges with the following offences.

ARMTHORPE: A community order was not the tonic that a gin thief wanted. Louise Caroline Brodie Gillin, 34, of Almond Avenue, admitted stealing five bottles worth just over £50 fron Tesco in Edenthorpe on August 21. She was placed on a nine-month alcohol treatment programme and was ordered to pay £50 costs.

BLAXTON: A 51-year-old man admitted using threatening and abusive language towards a police officer. Stephen John Dobie, of Station Road, admitted to the August 25 offence. He was fined £160 and had to pay £100 in costs.

DONCASTER: A teenager had to gear up to pay out £200 after being caught taking an £8,000 car. Ryan Gillan, of College Road, pleaded guilty to taking a Peugeot on July 8. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £100.

EDLINGTON: Peter Percy Norburn received a fine after being found with cocaine. The 39-year-old from Broomhouse Lane, admitted having the Class A drug on his possession on August 26. He was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £100 costs. The drugs were also destroyed by South Yorkshire Police.

BLAXTON: Gary Stockdale was disqualified from driving for three years after pleading guilty to driving while over the limit. The 42-year-old, of Foxglove Close, was 22 microgrammes over the prescribed 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on August 24. He received a fine of £300 from magistrates and was also ordered to pay £100 in costs to the court.
