The following people appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court charged with the following offences....

intake: Causing criminal damage left a Doncaster woman with a £240 bill. Charmaine Lesley Neate, 48, of Essex Avenue, admitted causing £400 of damage to a door and the door frame at a property on June 15. She escaped an immediate custodial sentence and was instead handed a six month conditional discharge. She was ordered to pay £200 in compensation as part of the punishment.

Town CENTRE: A man has avoided jail after assaulting a police officer. Christopher Farrow, 25, of Wharfe Road, admitted assaulting the female officer on June 5 and also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol and meat to the value of £37.24 belonging to Morrisons on the same date. Farrow was given a 12 week sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay the officer £50 in compensation.

conisbrough: A man has been banned from owning a dog for life after his pet injured a man. Michael Terence McCloskey, 60, of Harthill Road, admitted two counts of failing to keep his Japanese Akita dog under control, once on March 27 when the dog injured a man, and on April 13. He was made the subject of a community order and must abide by a 16 week curfew. He was also ordered to pay £285.

mexborough: A booze thief is not in good spirits after being handed a community order. Steven Michael Lunness, 30, of Cedar Avenue, admitted taking two bottles of vodka to the value of £36 from Morrisons on July 5. Lunness was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work as part of his punishment and pay £85 in court costs.
