A Conisbrough car wash owner says his business has suffered a massive setback after thieves stole more than £1,000 of cleaning equipment.

Abdulla Omar Rashid claims burglars broke into Conisbrough Top Job Valeting Centre on Doncaster Road, on December 28 and stole a brand new pressure pump and two industrial vacuum cleaners.

Abdulla, who set up the popular car wash service just six months ago, said: “I came to work as usual at 8am on December 28 and discovered someone had broken through the doors and into the store room.

“I had just bought a brand new jet wash which was gone.

“Later on when we went to use the vacuum cleaner two of them had been stolen too. It was devastating, it has made it very hard to continue doing the best job for my customers because I was just about to improve the signs outside the car wash. I have had to use that money to buy more equipment and it has set us back months.”

He described the missing equipment as a W154 Interpump pump, worth £815 and Ehrle vacuum cleaners valued at more than £300 each, one with an orange top and one with a yellow top.

Abdulla, who emigrated to the UK from Kurdistan in 2004 said:

“I get on really well with all the neighbours but nobody saw or heard anything at all. Please if anyone has been approached to buy them or has seen anything, let me know or contact the police.”
