A community group which hopes to boost tourism to a Dearne village is holding a family fun day to mark 10 years since they formed.
The EnTour group has spent the last decade promoting tourist attractions in Conisbrough, such as the castle and Mill Piece pond.
Members are inviting members of the public to a celebration at Mill Piece pond in Low Road this weekend to see what improvements they have made to the site.
Treasurer Leon Clemitshaw, 38, of Dale Road, Conisbrough, said: “I am proud of the work we have done in the last 10 years.
“We have cleaned up Mill Piece pond and promote events happening at Conisbrough Castle to try and boost visitor numbers.
“I am sure we have had a positive effect on that.
“The pond in particular was in a right state before we cleaned it up, it had shopping trolleys in it and everything.
“But now there are benches around and it is a real beauty spot.”
He added: “It would be great to get as many people down as possible to see how far the place has come.
The celebration day will be held at the pond on Saturday, August 23, from 2pm to 6pm.
There will be music, nature trails and a picnic. Group members will also be available to give information about their latest projects.
