Doncaster’s brand new civic offices are in line for a prestigious property award.
The new Doncaster Council building and civic and cultural quarter in Sir Nigel Gresley Square is one of several cutting-edge developments in South Yorkshire shortlisted at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Pro Yorkshire Awards.
Sheffield Hallam University’s sports park, the SOAR Works and the Rivelin Water Treatment Works are all also in line for a gong at the awards which celebrate the best in land, property and construction projects and recognise the most talented property professionals.
The civic offices have been recognised in the commercial category section and mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said she was delighted to hear the council’s £300m project to transform the Waterdale area of town had made the shortlist.
The awards ceremony will take place on May 23.
