Change to speed limit

THE speed limit on a main Dearne Valley link road is to be lowered for six weeks.

The Dearne Valley Parkway at Hemingfield will be lowered to 30mph between Hemingfield Road roundabout and Cortonwood roundabout from September 17 for approximately six weeks.

This is due to the fact that Barnsley Council will be carrying out essential maintenance works to Intake canal bridge deck.

One lane on each side of the dual carriageway could also be closed while this work takes place.

Lane closures will occur as and when required during the maintenance period.
