Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones welcomed business chiefs from across the region to a forum aimed at securing investment and the long-term future of the East Coast Main Line.

Bosses from across Doncaster and beyond met at the Mansion House for a workshop aimed at gathering evidence to present to the Government for continued funding and investment in the line which connects Doncaster to London and Edinburgh and other key towns and cities.

A business case will be passed onto the government and the rail industry lobbying for the route to remain a key part of Britain’s rail network and infrastructure.

The event was organised by Doncaster Council.
