British Transport Police appeal after railway lighting tower stolen from Doncaster

Thieves have stolen a railway lighting tower from Doncaster.

Officers from British Transport Police are investigating the incident and appealing for information, they have also released a picture of the machinery in the hope that someone may have seen it.

The theft took place sometime between 7am on Sunday February 23 and Friday February 28 from a line side location near to Bawtry Road in Doncaster.

Police Constable George Shaw added: “The theft was discovered by rail staff. If anyone has any information about the theft or if they have seen or been offered the lighting tower for sale please contact us.”
