Roads in Doncaster town centre have been sealed off tonight following reports of a man being killed on Trafford Way.
The area in front of the railway station has been cordoned off by police following the incident earlier this afternoon.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a pedestrian may have been killed after being involved in a collision with a car.
On the Doncaster Free Press Facebook page Hannah Redeyoff wrote: “My brother got off the train there around 5, police told him a man had been hit by a car, said it was the worse they’d seen. The air ambulance was trying to land at that time.”
Mick Calver posted: “Heard it was a fatality.”
East Coast Trains has tweeted details of travel delays for passengers between Doncaster and Wakefield Westgate due to track problems but the incidents are thought to be unconnected.
