BREAKING NEWS: Body of missing Stone Roses fan found

Chris Brahney, 22, has not been seen since the Stone Roses gig at Heaton Park, Manchester, on June 29.

THE BODY of a Stone Roses fan missing since their reunion gig has been found in a Manchester canal.

Some reports had suggested that Chris Brahney, 22, may have travelled on a bus to Doncaster after he was reported missing on June 29.

But his body was found in Manchester Ship Canal, near to Media City, Salford Quays at about 9.30am today.

He was last seen by friends before he returned to Heaton Park because he had lost his mobile phone.

More than 80,000 joined a Facebook group to help find him.
