staff at a Doncaster bookmakers were threatened at knifepoint by masked men in a terrifying raid last night.

Police were called to William Hill bookmakers in Hatfield Lane, Armthorpe, about 9pm after two men wearing face coverings ran into the premises, threatened staff and made demands for money.

No money was taken and no one was injured.

The main offender is described as a white man, 5ft 6ins tall, wearing grey clothing with matching bottoms and top and was carrying a large knife.

Both men left the premises on foot and turned left towards Armthorpe.

Police are appealing for witnesses contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1131 of 13 September 2012.
