Car fire on Goodison Boulevard in Cantley.

Flames from a blazing car damaged other vehicles and an outbuilding near a block of apartments at Cantley, Doncaster, on Tuesday night.

Fire crews from Doncaster station were called to Goodison Boulevard just after 11.15pm when a Ford Mondeo parked near the Co-operative supermarket was set alight.

The flames also caused heat damage to a Volvo and a Ford Fiesta parked next to the Mondeo.

Further damage was caused to the guttering of an apartment block which backs onto the car park.

The incident took about an hour to deal with, said a fire service spokesman.
