The brightest and the best in the business world were honoured when they turned out for the 15th annual Doncaster business awards for 2013.
The glittering event held at Doncaster race course on Thursday (December 12), was attended by hundreds of people there to receive awards and to honour their business peers.
Members of Doncaster’s vibrant business community were recognised for their hard work at the glitzy awards ceremony, which had 13 categories ranging from Excellence in People Development and Training and Business Start Up of the Year through to Lifetime Achievement Award won by John Ryan.
There were around 600 guests in attendance honouring the best in the vibrant and successful business community.
In addition to John Ryan’s Lifetime Achievement award other category winners this year were Crown Hotel, Bawtry, for Success Through Partnership Working; Togel Contractors Ltd, for Excellence in People Development and Training; Yorkshire Wildlife Park, for Excellence in Customer Service; Signum Facilities Management Ltd, for Business Start Up of the Year; Oliver Bryssau, for Business Person of the Year (30 and under); Tony Sykes, Business Person of the Year (31 and over) and Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Excellence in Marketing and Communications.
In addition Pegler Yorkshire won the Excellence in Overseas Trade category with other category winners being Flying Futures CIC, for Excellence in Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility; Monochrome Business Solutions LLP, for Small Business of the Year (employing one to ten staff); Doncaster Racecourse, for Medium Business of the Year (employing 11 to 50 staff); Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance Ltd, for large Business of the Year (employing 51-plus staff).
