editorial image

TESCO lorry drivers facing job losses have voted to take industrial action against the decision.

Union Unite balloted 157 drivers, based at the Middle Bank depot, with 144 voting to take industrial action, which could include going on strike.

All 200 drivers at the site had been warned to expect job cuts last month after their contracts were transferred over to haulage giant Eddie Stobart, but were given 90 days redudancy notice last week meaning they would all be out of work before Christmas.
