Staff at a Doncaster charity were left shaken after an attempted knifepoint robbery at their offices.
The alleged incident happened early on Thursday morning at the offices of The Victoria Cross Trust on Netherhall Road.
In a series of tweets, staff said: “Due to us having just been robbed at knifepoint, our premises on Netherhall Road in #Doncaster is no longer open to the general public.”
Another read: “Everyone is OK, a little shaken obviously, no one hurt. Door is locked and we are awaiting the return of the police.
“Everyone is OK, nothing was taken, the Police are looking for the person concerned.”
The Victoria Cross Trust is a charitable organisation that works tirelessly to ensure the memory and graves of every Victoria Cross recipient are remembered and maintained for generations to come.
