Arsonists target kids’ play area

ARSONISTS torched a children’s play area in Darfield.

Firefighters from Dearne Station were called to the scene off Bawtry Road on Tuesday, February 14, at 7.30pm.

They used a single hose reel to put the fire out and left after 30 minutes.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was started deliberately.
