Add a splash of colour for charity

MARIE Curie Cancer Care is appealing to schools in the Dearne Valley to add a splash of colour to their day by taking part in Wear Something Yellow to School Day on Friday, March 2.

Everyone from headteachers to pupils are encouraged to get involved in the fundraiser by simply wearing something yellow and making a donation of £2 to Marie Curie.

Local Marie Curie Fundraiser Liz Howlett said: “This is a fun way of raising money for us. You can wear a yellow jumper, tie, feather bower, tights or even a wig.

“Be as creative as you like, as long as it’s yellow!”
