An account manager from Haxey was basking in more than sunshine winning £25,000 on a popular television game show.
Bruce Kynoch, 33, who now lives and works in London, appeared on Channel 4’s game show, Million Pound Drop, with a friend.
In their first appearance on the show on Friday, July 5, Bruce held his head in his hands as they lost a staggering £800,000 having misread the first question and making what Bruce deemed a ‘school boy error’.
Contestants begin the show with £1million in cash but must try to keep hold of it over eight gruelling questions. The nail-biting show is played out on a fiendish device where the answers to each question are displayed over four trapdoors.
Bruce and his team mate were given the chance to place all of their money on one answer or spread the risk with each question – wrong answers literally saw thousands of pounds drop through the floor.
Referred to as the ‘underdogs’ by the show’s host Davina McCall, the pair came back fighting on Saturday night. Keeping their calm they made it through to the final question with £25,000 still in play, correcting answering their final question by stating that Smarties were produced before M&Ms.
