LISTEN: Leeds United star’s moving eulogy to brother Blake

At today’s funeral for Doncaster car crash victim, Blake Cairns, his brother Alex Cairns delivered a moving eulogy to his ‘best friend’.

Around 1,200 people turned out for the service, which was held at the Salvation Army Church to honour the life of Blake, 16.

Blake’s brother and Leeds United goalkeeper, Alex, along with brother Stephan and family friends Charlie and Jay spoke at the poignant service.

A number of Alex’s Leeds United teammates including including Michael Tonge, Stephen Warnock and ex Doncaster Rovers ace Billy Sharp were in attendance at Blake’s funeral.

Blake, along with 16-year-olds Jordanna Goodwin and Megan Storey and 18-year-olds Bartosz Bortniczak and Aprad Kore all died following a two car collision in Sheffield Road, Conisbrough on November 15.

The funerals of Bartosz, Megan, Jordanna and Arpad were held earlier this week.

Four of the five were students at Danum Academy while Bartosz was a former pupil.
