Crowle Lights Committee are gearing up for this year's Christmas festivities.

HEADS down for fundraising bingo - to raise money for the Crowle Christmas lights.
This Saturday, the Crowle lights committee has Christmas-themed prizes ranging from crackers to festive tipple at the event at Ealand Victory Hall from 6.30pm, to raise funds for Crowle and Ealand displays.

Then later, on December 1, there will be a big celebratory switch-on to be carried out by the winner of a school poster competition to be launched next month.

Isle of Axholme Lions and Crowle Town Council act as sponsors to the Christmas lights and switch-on, but the committee always welcomes new members.

Householders are also invited to spruce up their homes and gardens for the Best Decorated House competition, to be judged in mid-December.

Crowle lights committee secretary Dawn Da Costa said: “We look for a creative, extra-special display but not necessarily the biggest show of lights.”
