Lawyer takes the plunge for charity
Claire Pendlebury, who works for Attey’s in Wath, took part in a sponsored parachute jump to raise money for Weston Park Hospital, where her dad George Pendlebury, also from Mexborough, was treated for the illness.
After her skydive was postponed twice due to bad weather, she finally managed to jump 15,000 feet from a plane to raise the cash. She said: “I was petrified but it was an absolutely amazing experience made even better by knowing it was all for such a good cause.
“I really want to say a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me.”
Claire did her skydive with Red Devil instructor and team ‘jump-master’ Sergeant Michael Blanchard.
