A TALK on unexplained legends was given at the latest meeting of Haxey and Westwoodside Heritage Society.

Speaker Maureen James told the November meeting that opium use in the 17th century caused hallucinations which led to the development of stories and myths.

The society’s next meeting will be the Christmas party to be held in the Westwoodside Village Hall on Thursday, December 13, from 7.30pm onwards.
