Visitors to Lakeside Village now have the opportunity to bask in the British sunshine as the shopping centre has launched the Lakeside Lawn and Crown Bowling Green.

The lawn, which will remain open until the end of the summer, is the ideal spot for picnics and family activities. The lawn comes complete with deck chairs, picnic benches, along with a giant Connect 4 and Kerplunk, so small and big kids alike can enjoy the relaxing garden experience.

For those looking for something a little bit more competitive the outdoor area will also see the return of the popular Crown Green Bowling Lawn. Groups of up to four can enjoy this classic British sport free of charge as the perfect way to wind down after a busy day shopping for bargains amongst the shopping village’s array of outlet stores.

Speaking about the summer lawn, Centre Manager, Cheryl Sadler, said: “We hope that the free activities and relaxing green space will offer the perfect way for the people of Doncaster to have a fun day out over the coming months.

“We hope everyone makes the most of the great British sunshine and visits the lawn while it’s here.”

With 950 free car parking spaces and indoor and covered outdoor play areas, Doncaster’s Lakeside Village is already popular with families looking to enjoy leisure activities or find their favourite high street brands at up to 60 per cent less than the usual RRP.

The centre is home to more than 45 famous high street store including Clarks Outlet, M&S Outlet, GAP Outlet and Next Clearance.

There is a wealth of locations in which to refuel too – including Costa Coffee, Greggs and Thorntons.
