A FIFTIES’ style street party will swing in to action at Rotherham for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The town centre will be transformed to a fifties’ setting for this ‘once in a lifetime’ event on June 2.
Hundreds of tables and chairs will be arranged outside for the occasion, and the entire centre will be decked out in Union Jack bunting.
And for those who attend, along with a full range of entertainment there will be a vintage market, traditional fairground rides, a tea-dance, displays of vintage vehicles, and contributions and performances from local community groups and organisations.
For more information about the festivities contact Rotherham Visitor Centre on 01709 935904.
The celebration to mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign has been organised by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
