It's a wrap for students from Rawmarsh!
SNAPSHOTS of life in Rawmarsh, from the viewpoint of the young, form the basis of a new film, In My Shoes.
The Rawmarsh City Learning Centre project is one of seven new ideas to be delivered by the Centre, and was endorsed by Wentworth MP John Healey, who called by to see students' progress recently.
Rawmarsh CLC manager Trish Sharp said: "John was very supportive of the project and really inspired our young people".
In their film, 11 students talk about their aspirations, what life is like on a day to day basis in Rawmarsh, and the journeys they need to make to achieve their dreams.
All the work being undertaken by the CLC is funded by Inspire Communities with the Rawmarsh and Me project.
Trish added: "One thing for sure has happened and that is that these students now have the confidence to think beyond their own limited expectations of what they can achieve.
"They really have understood that working hard, education and more importantly positive attitudes can open up so many opportunities. It really has been great for them".
Students learned all aspects of film-making, and produced title music for their work, that will be professionally recorded.
