Isle MP Andrew Percy has thrown his support behind an investigation into Scottish Power’s alleged failure to pay out millions of pounds to its customers.

The energy firm is alleged to have failed to pay up to £80 million as part of a cashback warranty scheme.

Mr Percy (pictured) is vice chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group, a group that will investigate Scottish Power’s alleged warranty mis-selling and which recently held its inaugural meeting.

More than 2,000 of Andrew Percy’s constituents are affected by the alleged mis-selling of financial products.

He said: “There are 2,084 people from my Isle and Brigg constituency who are still owed money as part of Scottish Power’s cash back promise.

“We are talking about a huge £80 million that is still owed nationally, plus there is interest to 625,000 people. We have established a group in Parliament that intends to investigate this issue and I will be doing all I can to ensure residents get their money back.”
