A SUPERMARKET chain has launched a new community campaign aimed at improving the area around its stores.

Asda has launched its Community Life Awareness scheme to help good causes within a mile of the store, whether helping grow a vegetable patch, doing community tidy up operations or visiting schools to help with their projects.

Among the areas to benfit will be around Asda Carcroft, Lakeside, Balby and Conisbrough. Civic mayor Eva Hughes and Morley Place Primary pupils. helped launch the scheme.
