AN RAF aircraft was forced to do an emergency landing yesterday at Robin Hood Airport when one of its engines “experienced difficulties”.

The Royal Saudi Air Force Hercules was approaching the Finningley site when it was said to have had trouble with one of its four engines.

A spokesman for Robin Hood Airport said the aircraft declared a full emergency as a precautionary measure and landed safely there just after 3.30pm.
