SCHOOL pupils have embraced other cultures to raise awareness of the millions of children who miss out on an education.

Kingfisher Primary School, in Coventry Grove, Wheatley, hosted a performance by African dancer Tongesayi Gumbo, from Zimbabwe, and discussed the plight of the 67 million children who do not go to school as part of the Send My Friend to School initiative.

The youngsters dressed up in the traditional dress of children in Nigeria, Tanzania and India, held stalls and gave speeches about the good cause.
