Today is set to be the hottest day of the year so far, but is the Heatwave here to stay?

Although today will see the peak temperatures of the current hot spell, the very warm conditions are set to last into the weekend.

Thursday will not be as hot as today, but temperatures will still reach a  warm 22C.

However, there will be the chance of an isolated shower.

Things will start to pick up again on Friday. It will be a dry and sunny day with temperatures increasing again to around 24C.

Saturday looks like being an exact carbon copy, a warm and dry day with temperatures reaching the mid 20s.

Things will start to break down on Sunday, with rain and cooler temperatures forecast.
