Tots in Wheatley, Doncaster are getting fit while they listen to their favourite stories.

The children, aged between two and four, together with their parents, are joining story time taster sessions at Wheatley’s Children’s Centre, where they can get active by acting the story out.

The Active Kids sessions are run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust’s school nurses and children centre staff.

If the taster sessions prove a continued success, the school nurses are hoping to roll them out to older children. Pictured are NHS workers Sarah Walker, Linda Newton, Charlotte Brookes of the children’s centre, and NHS worker Sue Stenton, toddlers taking part in the activities.
