Chief Executive of the NLaG Trust, Karen Jackson, said the report carried “no surprises” but demonstrated that changes the Trust has implemented are “steps in the right direction.”

Dr Gina Palumbo, clinical chair of East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group said: “We have been working alongside other commissioners and the Trust to reduce the mortality rates but recognise more needs to be done.

“We welcome the Keogh Mortality review which gives us tangible areas to focus on in supporting the trust to improve services.”
