A schoolgirl aged eight living with cystic fibrosis has inspired a cycling event to raise funds for fellow sufferers.

Molly Dainty, from Worsbrough Common, Barnsley, was diagnosed at six weeks old, and her parents Martin and Julene have joined a team of cyclists riding 65 miles across the Pennines on September 22, starting and finishing at Magna in Rotherham and covering part of next year’s Tour de France route.
