NHS launches campaign to help dementia patients in Doncaster

NHS centres across Doncaster are trying to make health staff more aware of how they should deal with people with dementia.
Currently over 3,800 people in Doncaster have the disease and the risk of getting it increases with age. Bosses say health and social care professionals have a key role to play in Improving a person with dementia’s quality of life.
The NHS Doncaster clinical commissioning group have launched a poster campaign.
It is aiming to remind its health and social care workers that people with dementia may need extra help, including help with eating and drinking, and that they may be confused, forgetful or have difficulty communicating with people.
