ISLE MP Andrew Percy has been appointed a member of the influential House of Commons Health Select Committee.

The committee is made up of members from across the political divide in the House of Commons, and has a statutory role to scrutinise the Department for Health and to undertake inquiries on important issues affecting the NHS.

Mr Percy said: “The NHS and the health of our nation is a really important issue that is going to get even more important as life expectancy continues to rise.

“I relish the opportunity to build up a really detailed knowledge of health policy.”
