Depression treatment

Therapists from across the region are meeting in Doncaster for a three-day intensive training programme to help them provide treatment for sufferers of chronic depression.

This is only the second time that training for cognitive behavioural analysis system of psychotherapy (CBASP) has been available in the UK, and it follows a successful course run in Doncaster during 2011.

RDaSH director of psychological therapies Carole Hirst, who is leading the training said: “People benefit from it because it does not focus on them in isolation. The focus is upon behaviour change.”
